Kano Prayer Festival 2023 Daily Highlights
Preparation Day

Equipment and tents set-up.

Arrival of delegates, volunteers, and service providers.

Morning Session:Personal devotion, grounds hygiene, self-grooming, and breakfast. Praise and worship, prayer session, and Pastors’ Conference led by Rev. Ken Onjunga and Pastor David Mbao.

Afternoon Session:Lunch, followed by football tournament, kids’ corners, declutter boutique, and medical camp. Kids’ presentations.

Evening Session:Praise and worship, crusade preaching by Bishop Awiti Kwanya, Christian films, dinner, more praise and worship, prayer session, revival session by Bishop Awiti Kwanya, and food distribution.

Evening Session:Praise and worship, crusade preaching by Rev. Benard Akama, Christian films, dinner, more praise and worship, prayer session, revival session by Rev. Benard Akama, and food distribution.

Afternoon Session:Lunch, followed by football tournament, kids’ corners, declutter boutique, and medical camp. Kids’ presentations.

Afternoon Session:Vote of thanks by Robert Nyasuna, lunch, and departure arrangements.

1. Tent Meetings and Crusades

For 6 days, approximately 2,000 participants gathered at Ngere Kagoro Primary School to hear God’s word and receive transformative teachings and deliverance by guest speakers including Pst. Kenneth Kizili, Dr. Maurice Odhiambo, Ev. Kennedy Odeny, Pst. Carol Gift, Pst. David Mbao, Pst. George Ambiyo, Rev. George Anyul, Rev Ken Ojung’a, Pauline Ajuma, Rev. Evance Kochoo, Dr. Abacy Young. Psalmists and worship leaders included KPF Band, Linda Owino, Maureen Awuor, Carol Gift, Fred Omondi, and others. Morning and evening sessions resulted in over 300 documented salvation decisions and numerous testimonies of healings, deliverance, and spiritual guidance.

2. Medical Camp

Between December 19 and 24, 2023, a four-day medical camp provided care to 561 outpatients, offering cervical cancer screenings (6), family planning services (7), immunizations (22), antenatal care (11), and free consultations. Volunteer doctors, nurses, and pharmacists also shared the gospel and prayed with patients.

3. Feeding the Masses

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You…’” (Mat 19:37-40). Feeding was integral, with 2,000 attendees receiving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, allowing focus on festival programs. Each evening, 150 bales of maize flour.

6. Football Outreach

The Jadolo Robert Nyasuna tournament featured 136 teams from Muhoroni, including men’s and women’s teams, attracting 2,000 fans. The gospel was shared before matches, fostering unity and talent showcase.

7. Children’s Games

“Let the little children come to me…” (Matth 19:14). Children’s ministry included Bible teachings, group activities, altar calls, and discipleship, allowing parents to engage in festival activities while children learned in a fun, engaging way.
